The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes

Arthur Conan Doyle (1859-1930) was a prolific British writer and physician, best known for creating the iconic detective Sherlock Holmes. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Doyle studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh, where he was influenced by one of his professors, Dr. Joseph Bell, whose keen observational skills inspired the character of Holmes.
