About Louisa May Alcott

Louisa May Alcott (1832-1888) was an American novelist and poet best known for her novel Little Women and its sequels Little Men and Jo’s Boys. Born in Germantown, Pennsylvania, Alcott grew up in a family deeply involved in the transcendentalist movement, which profoundly influenced her writing and worldview.
