Lauren Groff is an acclaimed American novelist and short story writer, known for her rich prose and intricate storytelling. Born in 1978 in Cooperstown, New York, Groff has established herself as a significant voice in contemporary literature. She is a graduate of Amherst College and holds an MFA in fiction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Groff’s novel Fates and Furies, published in 2015, received widespread critical acclaim and was a finalist for the National Book Award. The novel, which explores the complexities of marriage and the secrets that lie within, was also named one of the best books of the year by numerous publications, including The New York Times and The Washington Post. In addition to Fates and Furies, Groff has authored several other notable works, including The Monsters of Templeton, Arcadia, and the short story collection Florida, which won the Story Prize and was a finalist for the National Book Award.
